About Your Opportunity
You will have the primary responsibility to develop prospects, leads, and new business opportunities. Further, the main responsibility is to sell our services in accordance with defined goals and objectives. To do so, the Business Development Manager is to manage the sales functions for us, bringing together the resources available to close deals.

How You’ll Contribute:
  • You will prepare an annual sales plan for the target market and implements same as well as reporting on results.
  • Establish a tracking method of contacts and track essential prospects to meet the Business Plan for Sales and Award goals.
  • Lead marketing and branding efforts specifically designed for target clients and prospects, including the design and implementation plan for the marketing effort.
  • Initiate and develop new construction prospects. Has direct responsibility for the accounts developed.
  • You will arrange appointments and organize meetings clients, design professionals, and Wohlsen Management/Executives. Goals to be established annually.
  • Create responses to Requests for Qualifications and Requests for Proposals.
  • You will write, direct, and produce presentations to prospective client selection committees.
  • Maintain relationships with current clients by generating an annual plan, implementation of same, and reporting on results.
  • Strengthen relationships with past clients by generating an annual plan, implementation of same, and reporting on results.
  • Organize and represent WCC at trade conferences.
  • Present and get published: trade conference and trade magazines.
  • Identify and develop a presence in new product groups and services. Stay current with issues and news relevant to the target market construction industry.
  • Assist with Corporate Marketing.

  • Reports to the Vice President (Region)

  • Prospective Clients, Existing Clients, Design Professionals, Trade Professionals, and other key strategic relationships.

Authority
  • Exercise authority over sales functions, including coordinating resources and directly managing new construction prospects.
  • Represent the company at trade conferences, maintaining a prominent industry presence.
  • Take direct responsibility for developing and maintaining client relationships, both current and past.
     
Accountability
  • Work with the business development towards developing and execute the annual sales plan, ensuring target achievement and reporting.
  • Identify and engage target clients, initiating new project opportunities.
  • Organize meetings, create effective responses to RFQs and RFPs.
  • Maintain client relationships, represent at conferences, stay informed on industry trends, and assist in Corporate Marketing efforts.

Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in Business, Construction Technology, Engineering, Architecture, Marketing, or another related discipline.
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in either or both Operations and Sales/Marketing.
  • Experience with estimating, scheduling, and/or project management technology.
  • Generally, assumes responsibility for own work following general policies, goals, and objectives.
  • Frequently represents the company to potential clients, requiring tact, patience, and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Can make compelling presentations.
  • A valid driver’s license.
