Position Summary:
The HR Operations Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Human Resources function at Wohlsen by managing HR systems and processes while assisting in talent acquisition efforts. This role will be responsible for day-to-day administration within BambooHR (People, Payroll, and Benefits) and will also partner with the Talent Acquisition team to attract, screen, and interview top talent. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and enjoys balancing operations with people-focused recruiting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations (50%)
  • Serve as the primary administrator for BambooHR, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee records, payroll, and benefits data
  • Support HR reporting and analytics, providing insights to HR leadership and business partners
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, employee changes, and leave of absence tracking
  • Partner with payroll to ensure accurate processing and compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • Support HR projects, compliance initiatives, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience
Talent Acquisition (50%)
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to support end-to-end recruiting efforts
  • Conduct phone screens and coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers
  • Manage candidate pipelines and ensure timely communication with applicants
  • Assist with career fair coordination, employer branding, and sourcing initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years of HR operations or recruiting experience; construction industry experience a plus
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (BambooHR strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of HR compliance best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
