About Your Opportunity
Primary responsibility for a variety of tasks involving the use of hands and tools such as building, demolition, sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing projections from concrete, and attaching insulation materials. You will report to the Carpentry Supervisor.
How You’ll Contribute:
• Unloads trucks
• Moves materials
• Assist carpenters
• Dig holes for signs and miscellaneous other needs
• Demolition work.
• Final cleaning @ project
• Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate movement
• Lifts, carriers and holds building materials and tools for carpenters
• Clean tools, equipment, material, and work area
• Erects scaffolding, shoring, and brace
• Mops and sweeps job site
• Perform other construction activities necessary to complete project
• Attend required safety training
• Sprays material such as steam or sand to clean, coat or seal surfaces
• Exercise safe construction practices
• Works with other field employees and subcontractors
Qualifications
• A minimum of one year of successful work experience in the construction industry preferred
• Physical ability to lift and transport tools and materials at construction sites in all phases of construction.

Physical Requirements
In a normal day, the employee must be able to stand for 7+ hours and walk 4-6 hours and must be able to drive 1-4 hours. This position requires little to no sitting. Employee must be able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs. maximum; frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs. The employee must be able to use his/her upper extremities for repetitive simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation. In this position, employee continuously (67-100%) bend at the waist, squat at the knees climb (including ladders), reach above shoulders, knee, and crawl. In this position, employee occasionally (0-34%) use feet controls (foot controls) and work at heights above 6 feet.
